Great Organisations Live their Values and Govern their Paradigm
Simon Wallace | 1st January 2017
An organisation’s values confirm the behaviour expected from all those that work for that organisation.
My observations are that great organisations pay attention to their values, regularly communicate their values and reward their employees for living their values; these organisations are motivated and great places to work! On the other hand poor organisations or parts of organisations typically ignore their values; these organisations or parts of are full of politics, demotivated and not very nice places to work at all.
An organisation’s values are a decision making asset.
A company’s values help employees understand good from bad and right from wrong. They help determine actions, interactions, selection and an approach to employee management, development and much more.
The Whole Thing has 7 values, our values are the soul of The Whole Thing; they reflect what is truly important to us as an organisation and set the foundation of our company culture, our way of behaving and what makes us easy to work with. By maintaining these values we can preserve what is special about our company.
Our Values
Commitment | Integrity | Teamwork | Communication | Equality | Success | Fun
This is our paradigm, ‘the way we do things around here’.
What is your paradigm?
