Entanglement, without it we fall over – Muir Woods
Simon Wallace | 11th September 2018
A good friend and I met for a coffee yesterday. He told me about Muir Woods, California, this is what he said:
Muir Woods is known for its towering old-growth redwood, the tallest being 258 feet (79m) and the oldest is at least 1,200 years, that have grown on soil that is stony, sandy and shallow. He told me that these trees had grown so tall and survived for so long in this ground because of their entanglement – intertwining of their roots, feeding and supporting each other.
His story left a real impression on me so much so that I’m excited to share the wisdom of Muir Woods with you too. Muir Woods is testimony to the power of entanglement, working together with a common aim, a cohesion and energy to prosper for eternity in tough conditions given the right climate.
What a wonderful place to walk through and wonder.
How entangled is your team/business?
Is your workplace place wonderful to walk through?
Thank you John for sharing this story with me, I love it.
