COURSE DESCRIPTION

Leader is human capital (singular) and leadership is social capital (group). The most important job of a leader is to identify and inspire other leaders in their organization that can support and drive their team better. Leader and leadership development is critical for organizational development, that is, for the development of flexible adaptive organizations able to respond quickly and decisively to change. Mastery of leader and leadership is vital for pushing business agendas faster and driving sustained business growth.

Effective Leader and leadership is a proven and very practical approach to leader and leadership development that provides a roadmap for the leader to influence, motivate and build a high performing work community. Particular attention is given to the individual elements (keys) of high performance: being a strong leader; having a common goal; setting and communicating rules; determining and communicating action; recognizing risk and involving others. Each one of these keys unlocks performance but when worked together can significantly improve team performance and business results. The program uses two psychometric measures: the Mental Toughness Questionnaire (MTQ48) and Integrated Leadership Measure (ILM72) to provide insight that will help accelerate individual development during and after the course. The program takes a holistic view of leader and leadership and introduces the delegate to the knowledge, skills and attitude required to behave consistently like a leader, adapt to and drive leader and leadership at any level in the business for great results.
